The VIP
A 0:15 clip from Hundred Stories, the tower-building game you can play in your browser.
B1
A black car pulls up, a red carpet rolls out, and the VIP rides straight to floor 12 to open the door on a suite nobody cleaned. The cameras flash, the elevator is quick, and the checklist looks great right up to its last line. Then the sunglasses slide down, and the carpet rolls back up a lot faster than it came out.
In the game, a VIP may book a visit on the first day of a quarter once you have three stars and a clean, empty suite. Every VIP rates three things: the longest elevator wait, the suite at check-in and whether there was a fire or bomb during the stay. The worst of the three is the rating, and a fair rating or better is what the fourth star needs.

A black car pulls up outside the tower.
Narrator: Our most important guest has arrived, and everyone is on their best behavior.
A red carpet rolls out. The VIP steps out in sunglasses and walks the carpet, waving to flashing cameras. The elevator is waiting in the lobby. As the car rises, a card titled The VIP is here slides in. One by one, three lines get a check: A suite is ready for them. The VIP can get to floor 12. No fire or bomb during the visit. The car reaches floor 12, and the suite door swings open. Inside are an unmade bed, four bags of trash and a haze. The music stops with a scratch.
Narrator: Everyone, that is, except whoever was supposed to clean the suite.
A fly buzzes around the VIP. The sunglasses slide down. The last line on the card, The suite is clean, gets a red cross. A new card reads The VIP checked out and rated the tower poor. Out on the street, the carpet rolls back up fast, the VIP gets in the car, and the car drives off.
