The elevator is out

A 0:20 clip from Hundred Stories, the tower-building game you can play in your browser.

B1

The elevator is out of order, so one person takes the stairs. Four flights, a stumble on the second, and a burst through the door on floor 5, out of breath, just in time to hear the ding and watch someone else step out of the elevator.

In the game, people take the stairs for a single floor and wait for a car for anything higher, and every minute they wait adds stress. One more car in the shaft is usually the cure.

They straighten up and walk to the stairwell.

Nova: It's only four flights. How bad can it be?

They climb. A badge counts the floors as they pass. On the second flight they trip and catch themselves. Cut to a glass elevator on floor 1. Its doors close on one rider, and it rises. Cut back to the stairs. The climber bursts through the door on floor 5, out of breath. The elevator arrives on floor 5 with a ding.

Narrator: Oh, look. It's working again.

The rider steps out and waves. The climber throws both arms up.
